I have had Molinari’s on my list of places to try since I moved here over 2 years ago. The sad part is, I pass it literally everyday on my way to class, however, I have never stepped inside it’s doors. That is until about a month or so ago.
On a beautiful sunny day, my wonderful other and I decided to check it out and see what all the fuss was about. After reading so many helpful yelp reviews, we walked in and picked out our bread immediately and then spent a few minutes deciding which sandwiches we wanted to try. Whew…what a task! So many delicious choices to chose from! So we decided on two different sandwiches, Joe’s Special and South Beach. The Joe’s Special had fresh mozzarella, dried tomatoes, sweet bell peppers, basil and garlic. The South Beach had turkey, provolone, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke, garlic and basil spread. It’s safe to say we were happy campers.
We took our sandwiches to Washington Square Park where we were able to enjoy them in the sunshine. Just to forewarn, the sandwiches are huge and could easily feed two people, depending on how much you can put away. I saved the other half of mine to eat later, and it was still just as delicious.
Molinari’s also offers a plethora of fresh meats, cheeses, homemade pastas, as well as a variety of freshly made deli salads and sides. I hope to make more visits to Molinari’s to try out all of their delicious eats.
