Hello, my name is Emily.
I love anything and everything dealing with food and art. (When the two overlap my brain explodes, kidding!) This means I have an undying love of farmers markets, grocery shopping (I’ve been known to browse for hours because I love looking at new items), cooking, eating, trying new restaurants, consuming new foods, watching reality food TV (the good ones), food shows (most recent obsession being Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations…incredible), photography (favorite photographer=Richard Avedon), drawing, painting, designing, the MoMA, art museums/exhibits of any kind.
One Ingredient at a Time was originally created to track my progress and share research revolved around my graduate thesis. My thesis focused on encouraging college students to develop better eating habits. To learn more, you can check out my project on Design Ignites Change.
I received my MFA in graphic design from the Academy of Art University in December and am now working as a contract designer for a variety of clients. Despite school being over, I found that I really enjoyed sharing my food adventures, successful or not, and decided that I would still very much like to be a part of the food culture.
Feel free to email me or comment on any of my posts. I am always open to feedback and the insight of others.
